ANN HIGGINS

Fort Worth, Texas - Ann Higgins passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 18, 8 days prior to her 76^th birthday.  A proud, lifelong resident of Fort Worth, she was the daughter of Ruth Connor and Dr. William Patrick Higgins Jr. and sister of Pat and Mike Higgins.

Ann graduated from Nolan Catholic High School in 1965 and was thankful for the many friendships she made there.  Her passion for cooking, music and the performing arts were all gifts she handed down to her children; she was a trusted confidant and “cool mom” to so many.  Her prolific laughter, generous hosting and compassionate ears will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to experience them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Pat; stepsister, Laurel Gleason; and stepmother, Dorothy Higgins.

In addition to her son, Connor Kalista and his wife, Sarah Levy of Brooklyn, New York, and their son, Elijah, Ann is survived by her daughter, Claire Kalista Alt and her husband, Eric of San Francisco, California, and their sons, Wyatt and Travis; brother, Mike Higgins and his wife, Karen of Dallas, and their daughters, Kerry and Libby; niece, Katie Higgins and her husband, Jorge Gonzalez Sosa of Merida, Mexico, and their daughters, Cecilia and Sofia; sister-in-law, Deborah Freed; and brother-in-law, Pat Gleason and his daughters, Meaghan and Abigail; and numerous cousins and their families.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held at a later date.
