ARLINGTON -- Anita Bloom Dorfman peacefully passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Dorfman was 83 years old. Service: A memorial services was held privately. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to your favorite non-profit, in her name, is suggested. Born and raised in Detroit, Anita's kind and gracious nature put even strangers at ease; she was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lillian Bernstein and her husband, Phil; brother, Gerald Bloom and his wife, Fran; and brother-in-law, Raymond Epstein. Survivors: Family was everything to Anita and her greatest source of pride. In addition to her beloved husband of 64 years, Louis, she is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Laura and Dan Laciak, Nancy Dorfman and Jo Marsh, Eileen and Martin Byhower, Sharon & Dave White; her grandchildren, Emily, Sharon and Mike; and her great-grandchildren, Shaylin and Brody. She is also survived by her brother, Mitchell Bloom and his wife, Hilda; her sister Doris Epstein; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
