FORT WORTH -- Anabel Shotts Stripling passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2017. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of University Christian Church, 2701 S. University Drive. Family and friends will gather at the home immediately following the service. Born Feb. 22, 1931 in Fort Worth, Anabel was the daughter of Edward A. and Frances Mason Shotts. She graduated from R. L. Paschal High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Anabel was a 1950 Steeplechase debutante and was a member of Jewel Charity Ball and University Christian Church. She had an amazing career in real estate. In 1972, Ansbel married Wesley Capers Stripling III; Mr. Stripling died in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert, in 2015. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Texas Angels, especially Todd and Melanie. Survivors: Anabel is survived by her family, Lionel and Ed; Marilyn Bevan; Casey Bevan and her daughter, Anabel Bevan Mosley; Beggs Bevan Neland and her daughters, Emma Beggs Neland, Charlotte Bevan Neland and Abigail Grace Neland; Sharon Stripling Worcester and John and her son,s Bowie Holland and Adrienne, Clayton Stripling Holland and Erin and Walker Holland; Wesley C. Stripling IV and Gerri and their son, W. C. "Cape" Stripling V; Van Griffith and Cheryl; Dana Stripling and her son, Ian Stripling Jenson; and Lulabell!
