Memorials: Consideration of contributions to the Southside Church of Christ Food Pantry, 2101 Hemphill St., F0rt Worth, Texas 76110, or to a charity of one's choice, in his memory, is suggested. Mr. Richie was a true servant of Christ, devoted to his church, community and family. He was born in Fentress on March 18, 1933, the son of Jose and Augustina Arreola Richie and married his beloved wife, Glynatta, on July 20, 1956. Together, they raised three delightful daughters. Albert received his training as a physical therapist at the Gonzales Warm Springs Foundation, practiced at Midland Memorial Hospital and then moved with his family to Fort Worth in 1969 where he worked for Easter Seals and later as a private therapist. He and his wife have been members of Southside Church of Christ for 39 years, where he served as deacon and was instrumental in the growth of their Food Pantry. As an avid sports fan and devoted father, Albert coached his girls' softball teams and was a role model and mentor to them throughout his life. He took care of his neighbors and church members, mowing yards, making sure window units were installed for summertime, doing home repairs and delivering meals for all who needed him. His life was well-lived and he was well-loved, his kind spirit and generous heart will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Survivors: In addition to his wife of 56 years, Glynatta Jean Mann Richie, Albert is survived by his children, Priscilla Richie Pacheco and her husband, Don, of Justin, Brenda Richie Benge of Lubbock and Jennifer Richie Prause and her husband, Al, of Beaumont; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; devoted nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins; and a multitude of friends.
