Mr. ALBERT JONES Jr.

FORT WORTH -- Albert Jones Jr. passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Dec. 23, 2017. Mr. Jones was 90. SERVICE: A homegoing service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 4800 S. Riverside Drive. The Rev. Maverick D. Gayden, pastor of the church, will officiate. Following a committal service, he will be laid to rest, next to his wife, Allene, in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Jones will lie in state at the church on Thursday where a wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Born in Fort Worth on February 14, 1927, Albert was the son of Albert and Ella Gray Jones. He was married to Allene Parks, who died in 2015. Albert was a longtime member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church and retired after 40 years as a warehouseman for the General Services Administration. SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews, neighbors and their families.
